Novex History ‘Sweet 16’
16 years and twice as much experience in office interiors
Novex Solutions was established in the millennium year, 2000. A year that brought widespread celebrations after the relief that ‘millennium bug’, predicted to cause a global technological meltdown, failed to materialise. In the year 2000, we saw the opening of The Tate Modern, the new Millennium Bridge across the Thames and The London Eye. In the movie world, the academy award for the best movie went to Gladiator and in the world of business, unbelievably CRT monitors were still outselling our current day flat screen LCD monitors. (LCD monitors didn’t take the lead until 2007) In fact, in the year 2000, technology was just warming up.
16 years on, technology has advanced tenfold, resulting in some very different styles of office working environments. From the very linear partitioned offices upon offices to the ‘cubical farm’ open plan style of getting as many bums on seats and to now a more common ideology of office flexibility with wireless technology freeing employees from a single workstation to work.
Novex are very pleased to have been involved in some great offices over the years, working with some great companies, maintaining the ‘delivered as promised’ strap line, holding on to that personal family business ethos, and enjoying the continued face-to-face communications with many of their customers.
Today the majority of the Novex team is made up of employees, who have worked within the business for a minimum of 10 years and continue to do business with suppliers as far back as when we started out, giving us a wealth of experience in office interiors and an employee retention that we are very proud of.
Novex Solutions Timeline
Established in 15 August 2000
2000 – Started in a small office/room out the back of St Johns Church.
2001 – Fitted out our very own office in Addlestone, Surrey
2004 – Moved into our now Chertsey, Surrey office.

2005 – Achieved nationwide preferred contractor status with Mouchel because our experience in office interiors.
2008 – Became an accredited member of FIS specialising in all aspects of the interior fit-out and finishes sector.
2008 – Winner of the Surrey County Council’s green office competition in conjunction with Oliver Heath.
